The PHC Sub centre for general health check and facility for delivery of new born should be designed with considering multiple factor like hygiene, dedicated spaces for fixed purposes and overall functionality of the space with respect to activity of space.
Openness of space to allow ample of natural light and breeze to enter the building is the primary goal of this design. Such atmosphere creates a pleasant ambience and feels to the space with his utmost necessary for well being of individuals mental well as physical health.
Good circulation and dedicatedly planned spaces gives an upper hand to the flawless activity of the medical staff. Bifurcation of different activities separated from each other is possible due to such detached design of the building creating open spaces and small internal courtyard which takes out the heated air outside the building during hot month’s summer.
Facade on north east and south west direction has openings providing natural diffused light and ventilation for prevailing winds. Central open space emphasises cross ventilation on ground as well as residential floor on first floor.
Building exterior has dynamic form providing a contemporary and balanced look to the building facades which is appealing to the overall aesthetics of the building form..
Building is diagonally oriented to north south axis such placement of building avoids direct harsh radiation from east and west direction during peak summer months.
